Did I leave the gym without wearing pants???

Where oh where did my gym pants go?
Oh where oh where could they be?

I've been missing a pair of gym pants for over a week.  I've looked in the clothes hamper, behind the recliner in our room, behind the pillows on the couch, under the bed, in Chris's closet, in my closet, at the bottom of Bella's diaper bag, in the bathroom, and even in the car - although I have no idea why they'd be there.  I can't find them.  Got me wondering...

did I wear them to the gym, take them off,
and leave without wearing any pants?

Let's face it, I have some pretty crazy moments... now I'm actually questioning my sanity... did I leave the gym w/o my pants?  ;)

On the flip side, I found two pairs of shoes that I bought Bella
when she was first born.  Now, they fit!

Lose a pair of pants - gain two pairs of shoes!

... Finally a post

I'll admit that I haven't had the motivation to blog lately.  I don't know if this will be a come back or just a one-time post.  Who knows.  Over the past few months I've had dozens of post ideas, but just never typed them out.  Because it will take forever to catch you up on all of the details, here are a few highlights:
  • Bella is 5 months old.  She's her own little person with her own big personality.
  • Everyone has opinions about what is right and wrong when it comes to babies... my opinion... do whatever you have to do to keep the baby happy, keep your own sanity, and to get some sleep!  :)
  • Calvin is in kindergarten and doing fabulous!  We're so proud of the progress he's already making.  Who knew you learned how to read in Kindergarten?!?
  • The bond between Calvin and Bella is nothing short of amazing.  She absolutely adores him.  I think the highlight of her day is when he gets home from school!
  • I'm going to try making my own baby food.  We'll see how that goes...
  • Chris is good.  He's on a 30 day workout challenge using the EA Sports Personal Trainer for the Wii.  Don't knock it til you try it... it's a good workout!
  • I am a stay at home mom.  I love it.  But, I'm not one of those stay at home moms that thinks I'm better than everyone else because I don't send my kids to daycare.  Blah blah blah... I could further explain but it's not important enough.  I admit that if the right part time job comes along, I'll take it.
  • Staying home with Bella all day can sometimes be exhausting.  I explained it to Chris like this:  If you had your boss or co-worker yell at you most of the day, you'd call it a bad day.  Then, when you got home and the boss called to yell some more, you'd be annoyed.  If your boss called you in the middle of the night to yell at you some more... you'd be annoyed and exhausted.  I think he got it then.  I love Bella to pieces, but I have to get a break.  I think some full-time working moms think staying home is a breeze.  I don't take my time home with the kids for granted.  I think it's a blessing full of hard work.
  • Last week I joined the gym to get some alone time.  Hopefully I get my old body and sanity back!  Haha!
I've come across several good baby products, that I want to share with you.
  • I love the products from the Manhattan Toy Company like:  Sweet Pea and Baby Stella.  They are soft plush and machine washable
  • Bella has a  JJ Cole Bundle Me Lite.  We love it.  It's not bulky like some winter infant seat thingies.  It's like a fleece blanket in the car seat.  I've seen the regular JJ Cole Bundle Me and it is very nice, too.
  • On of my favorites: Aden and Anais receiving blankets.  I'll be the first to admit they are a little pricey, but for us, they are well worth the money.  They get a really tight swaddle.  They're made from cotton muslin - I'm no fabric expert - I just know they breathe more than some others, reducing the risk of SIDS.  Bella's five months and we still use them all of the time - just not for swaddling.  There's one in the car seat, one on the floor with her now, one in her swing, etc... and well, she likes to suck on them.  They're fairly large, so I wouldn't recommend letting a baby have one in bed without being swaddled.  Since Bella is so attached to hers, I ordered an Aden and Anais security blanket.  I'm hopeful that she will like it as much as the swaddling cloths.
  • The third parent:  Fisher Price Cradle n Swing.  I'm not sure how we would have survived without this.  It swings front to back and side to side.  It's plush and comfy and perfect for the late nights when the baby won't go back to sleep.  ;)   She'll outgrow it soon and we'll be sad to pack it up.
  • She has this Taggie blanket and this Taggie book - Love them!
  • True newborn shoes from Children's Cottage.  They are Baby Deer brand and can be customized with your baby's name - like we had done for Bella.  They are itty bitty - perfect for newborns.
  • Do you love Carters brand baby clothes?  Not sure if you already know, but in the past few months they got their own website.  Even better is that an online Oshkosh site is linked from there - to use one shopping cart for two stores.  Sign up for their emails - I'm always getting discounts emailed to me.
  • Tutus from The Pampered Princess Boutique.   Bella has two!
  • Custom piggy banks from:  Dizigns Etsy shop
  • Crocheted flower hair clips from:  Mommys Love Bugs
  • I love these headbands from Little Diva Boutique
  • Hats from Boston Avenue Babies, Three Kittens Knitting, and Cite Fuzz
  • Burp cloths from The Posh Tots.
  • If you live locally, I highly recommend Over The Moon in downtown Effingham.
If you have a favorite baby item, please leave the link in a comment.  I'm always up for suggestions.
